Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and GolfIQ ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the GolfIQ mobile app, web app, and marketing website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use GolfIQ (16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom). If you create an account on behalf of an organization (a golf club, society, or company), you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably suspect of fraud or abuse.
Subscriptions and billing
GolfIQ offers a Free tier and a Pro subscription. Pricing is displayed on stack.golf/pricing and may be updated from time to time. Existing subscribers are notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your iPhone Settings → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
GolfIQ Pro is purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Payments are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's payment terms. We do not collect or store your payment details.
Free trials
GolfIQ Pro includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, managed through Apple. At the end of the trial, your subscription begins automatically unless you cancel beforehand in iPhone Settings → Subscriptions. Apple requires a payment method on file to start the trial.
Your content
You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to GolfIQ, including round logs, mental game responses, photos of scorecards, and pre/post-round notes ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use Your Content solely to operate the Service — render it back to you, generate AI coaching stories, build your Mental Game Profile, and deliver any features you opt into.
You can export Your Content as a CSV at any time and delete your account to remove it from the Service. Backups may persist for up to 30 days after deletion.
AI coaching disclaimer
The AI coaching stories, personality descriptions, and statistical interpretations generated by GolfIQ are produced by large language models (currently Anthropic Claude). They are intended as commentary and reflection prompts, not as professional coaching advice. They can be inaccurate, generic, or wrong. Decisions about your swing, equipment, fitness, or health should be made with a qualified PGA professional, instructor, or medical practitioner — not based on AI output.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service; (b) use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person; (c) upload content that infringes intellectual property rights or that contains malware; (d) use automated scripts to log false rounds, manipulate leaderboards, or scrape the course database; (e) resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission; (f) use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The GolfIQ name, logo, the term "Consistency Score" as used here, and all software, designs, and content of the Service (excluding Your Content) are owned by us or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while these Terms remain in effect.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your account is inactive for more than 24 months, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that should reasonably survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate. Course data, weather data, and AI-generated content may contain errors.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 100 if you have not paid us anything. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost rounds, missed tournaments, or any harm to your golf game.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, except where you are a consumer and your local law requires a different venue.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
